Females

The breeding herd is composed of purebred registered Devon females. Females are managed in spring and autumn calving mobs. They are diverse in type, size and performance. However they have one attribute in common; they are all selected for high fertility.

Within the herd there is a diversity of choice for performance:

Two-thirds of females in the breeding herd are in the top 20% of the Devon breed for 200, 400 and 600 Days growth.
The herd has a high milk history. Nearly three-quarters of females are in the top 20% of the breed for the milk trait.
